The contraceptive patch is a small, square patch that those with ovaries can wear on their skin to prevent pregnancy. This is done by releasing the oestrogen hormone and progestogen hormone into the bloodstream.
How does it work?
Each patch is worn for 7 days, and then replaced with a new one, followed by a 7 day break after your third patch.
It can be 99% effective is used correctly all the time.
It is NOT suitable for those who can’t take oestrogen.
