The Injection
The contraceptive injection contains the progesterone hormone and prevents pregnancies, but not STIs.

How do they work?
Depending on the type of injection, they can last 8 to 13 weeks. You’ll need to make sure you book regular appointments with your GP for a top up to ensure maximum efficiency.
As always, speak to your GP or sexual health clinic to check if this method of contraception is safe for you to get.
